I don't know abou tthe farther place just imagine you get stuck in traffic etc. If there is anything closer you should definitely check it out. Goodluck
I think I'd rather pay the $210 to be closer to the venue and to have the more experienced stylist. You want to look your absolute best, and you don't want to be stuck driving around all morning. The money may be worth the sacrifice. Will the other salon be able to start getting ready sooner than 10am?
I think so. They open @ 8, and they only have a spa party coming in during the afternoon. I'll ask the BMs if anyone wants to have their hair done there.
I think you should keep looking for more options. I don't have much faith in master stylist vs. new talent. Because to me, talent is talent, which doesn't really depend on how long you've been working there. And that is what a trial is for.
You could always do a trial with new talent and then use the master if that doesn't work out.
I was thinking of possibly doing that, but i'm not sure how I need to make the appt.
just go with the new talent, if something messes up you can always have someone there fix it for you. plus you're closer to home and ceremony, so should anything occur (i hope not!) you won't be too far away.
honestly if it means you won't be rushing I'd go with the new talent. Provided that the trial hair is what you want.
The only other option is to go where I go do my hair and have gone there for proms, but I'm not really sure what to do. It's right around the corner from where I live and the ceremony. One of my girls is going there, so I feel bad by not going there. I'm not sure what they do for make-up (my face is oily), or if she's used to hair extensions.

I called two local spas for hair/make up for the wedding, and one place has packages for trial & day of hair & make up for $165. This place is an 40 minutes away from where I live & where the wedding will be, and we couldn't even start getting ready there until 10am (wedding's at 1pm). The other place is 20 minutes away from where I live & the wedding, but there isn't a package, and with a "master stylist" the hair & make up for both trial & day of will be $210, and with a "new talent" (not new stylists, just new to the salon) it's $149. Is it worth it to drive out to the farther place?
