How formal is your rehersal dinner?
With the fullness of the skirt it does look a bit on the formal side, but then again, it's your wedding and the bride is never overdressed.
Can you take some of the poof out of the skirt?
Personally, I think it is way too formal. But it really depends how extravagent your rehersal dinner is. Where are you having it at?
That's my wedding dress, so to me it seems a bit formal for a rehearsal dinner. But, if you want to wear it, then you should!
My wedding is black tie - my wedding dress is a huge ballgown
if I dont wear this to my rehearsal dinner I'll probably wear it to my bridal shower/day after wedding. (plane ride)
I think the dress is perfect as it is for a rehearsal dinner. I just love that dress.
Is your rehersal dinner black tie as well? I think it's too formal for a rehersal.
I love the second dress you just posted with the sparkle and sass! Who's the designer of that one?
Monique Lhuiller - if I got that one I would order a knockoff - too expensive - the dress is called Jules
I say wear whatever you want. I love the one with ruffle skirt and black belt. I plan on wearing this to my rehearsal dinner (which is yet to be planned and will likely be on the more casual side) just because I want to.

I love that dress! (the Isadora Ann) My rehearsal dinner dress looks very similar and it's probably too formal for my rehearsal, but I LOVE it. I want to be the center of attention! I'd say buy it and wear it proudly! It will also give you the chance to have two white dresses you love on your wedding weekend rather than just one! I'm going to wear mine on my honeymoon for a formal dinner and pictures as well.
Everything you're posting seems pretty over the top to me.
I think all your options are too formal for rehearsal dinner. That being said I have no idea what your rehearsal dinner is going to be like.
I wore a Jim Hjelm Occasions tulle dress for my rehearsal (JH5102 in ivory)... It didn't look out of place at all. I just told the men to wear ties and the ladies church dresses...
Here's the stock photo... It is way fluffier than this in person. I also changed out that black grosgrain ribbon for a sparkly sash from Etsy.

And here is me! (Sorry it's not full-length... You can't appreciate the fluffiness here...)

It was cocktail-length and I wore ivory peep toe shoes... :) So I think anything goes, really, as long as the wedding party and guests dress to match...
(ETA: Holy patootie! Big pics! Sorry!!!)

I bought this dress and I really want to wear it to my rehearsal dinner. Is it too formal or is it ok?
