We’re doing August 1 at the latest so I think that’s fine. We have a list that has about 90% OOT so we want to get them out asap

We’re sending our’s out at the end of this month and our RSVP date is September 1st.  I don’t think it’s too early!  (My wedding is a day after your’s!)

@greenmachine838:  Except i’m putting my RSVP date earlier than yours: Sept 12th. I know people will be late, but I want to get the numbers as early as possible and minimize chasing people around…

We just sent ours this week.  Everyone has been bugging us for them.

I did a Sept 1 RSVP date about half of our guests are from out of town.

Take it from me. Send them out EARLY if you have a list A and B. If you read some fo the threads I started, you will learn that I had people who apparently were NOT available to come on my wedding date and they knew it ahead of time and yet still didn’t respond very close to the deadline (or apparently after the deadline). I would say the majority of my early/on-time responses were “Yes”, which doesn’t help you with a list B but the majority of my close to the deadline or late people were “No”.

Most early/prompt/considerate responses are going to be “Yes! I’m attending!” from friends and family who are just so excited to come. If you have a B list, send them early with an early RSVP by date.

I sent mine out three months ahead of the wedding… I know it’s early, but we have a lot of OOT guests, so I wanted to give them time to make arrangements.

I am hoping to get ours out by mid August by the latest.  We have an RSVP date of October 1st.  We don’t have a large “B” list, so we probably won’t be inviting a lot of additional people if we got no’s.  I think if you have a B list and want to have a chance to invite them sending invites out earlier is ok.
