So, I’ll try to make this short. I’m a manager at a fast food restaurant. It’s not glamorous, but it pays the bills while I’m in school studying business. Anyway, one of the other managers has an 18 year old daughter who lives away from home who just had a baby yesterday. She is requesting this entire week off work to be with her daughter and the baby. It’s unpaid, but now all of us have to work doubles to cover her shifts. We won’t be getting paid overtime or anything, though. It just sucks for everyone else, and I feel like an entire week off is a bit excessive when it’s her DAUGHTER who has the baby, and she doesn’t even live at home! What do you think, bees?
I also might be a little bitter because this lady makes $1.75 an hour more than me just because she’s been there a long time, but always complains that she’s sick and/or tired so I end up doing 3x as much work as her when we work together. Just frustrating, I suppose.
