I have had one venue in mind since before we got engaged, since we were just engaged in April I was finally able to go see it in person. It was beautiful, serene, romantic, relaxing, gorgeous. Just everything I could have hoped for. It’s a plantation on a few acres of land and we would get the entire plantation from Fri to Sun. It’s a 7 bedroom B&B as well which means the bridal party and such will be there all weekend and it will be a fun filled weekend away in the country. 🙂 We both fell in love with it and it’s the only venue I’ve even looked at. Dates are already filling up so I don’t want to wait too long. We made an appointment for the 7th to go sign our contract. There are no refunds on the contract, it’s a done deal. Are we crazy to not look around and look at different venues or just feel grateful we found a place we love and sign the contract?

I really think you should try to fit in other appointments between now and the 7th, if nothing for at least comparisons or negotiating points.

If you love it, you love it! It sounds amazing! If it’s in your price point and offers everything you want, it sounds like you found your place.
My fiance booked our hall before he proposed, before he even bought the ring. I had no clue and was completely suprised! I had been looking at it for a while before he proposed, and he knew it’s what I wanted. I had never been there in person, just saw pics online and liked the all inclusive packages they offered. Not one regret!

Exactly what I was planning to say!

Have you seen other venues in the area, at other weddings for example, that you have some sort of a comparison?

Sounds awesome, don’t second guess yourself!

Nope! No need if you love it! We looked at packages from other places, but knew as soon as we walked in to ours and met the coordinator that we didn’t need to look anywhere else.
It was under budget, beautiful, flexible, and the coordinator was great. We cancelled the only other appointment we’d made on the drive home.

I only saw one venue in person but saw about 100 online. I did all my research before I started to go an look at them and was able to rule out a lot of them without dragging my fiance from place to place.
It backfired a bit when my fiance didn’t love the venue I loved but once I showed him the other options that would work and what they would cost and what their restrictions were he got on board.
I say if you love a venue and you are sure about it then you should go for it. You didn’t keep looking for a better man once you knew your fiance was the one did you?
