I received a PM today from smore4048. Apparently she is a photographer and she said she was sending me a link to her website and information on prices because she “saw my post” on weddingbee. I haven’t posted in a while and I’ve never asked for advice on photography. It’s pretty clear she just decided to randomly spam me (I don’t even live in the US and she’s based in Florida). She hasn’t even posted on the bee, ever. Can we report messages like these or are they technically not against the rules?

@faeriehazel: I got the same post but she said she is based out of my city.
I just posted that I’m engaged today.
“My name is Cammy and I came across your post on the wedding bee board, and I just wanted to reach out to see if you had already found a wedding photographer”
I literally just got engaged on Saturday. Of course I haven’t even thought about a fucking photographer.

Yikes. I would think that could be reportable.

I got one a few days ago about a job. Umm, I’m employed (part-time AND full-time)… there’s no way I need another. And, no, if you’re going to ask me for my checking account info, it ain’t happenin’.

Congrats! I think I read a post from you hoping it would happen on the weekend (if that was someone else this is slightly embarassing lol). Glad it did!
OP, I also got one of them too. It’s actually the second time (s)he’s messaged me about wedding photography.

If you report it in Support, they’ll likely ban the account. This happens once in awhile; I used to receive PMs like this for two seperate accounts used by the same photographer, and I think they banned both.
