I just found this website because I was trying to figure out how much chicken was in my salad without an actual scale.
It allows you to see pictures of what, say, 3 oz of chicken looks like!! I knew the whole “deck of cards” thing, but it really helped me to see it.
Just thought I’d share for anyone else who may be struggling towards better portion control 😀

That is really cool, thanks for posting! I like using a food scale at home, but I’m bad about figuring out how much I eat when I’m out.

@MrsRevolutionize: This makes me sad because I obviously eat too much lol. But that is a very clear way for me to think about portions… When I look at serving size I have no idea what they’re talking about!

That is helpful. Kind of difficult though when everyone has different hand sizes. I have super tiny hands so a serving based on my hand versus my DH’s or even just a girl friend’s would be totally different.

I need to use smaller plates. Sheesh.

@MrsRevolutionize: oh my godddd those chips make me so sad. Not as sad as that glass of wine though! I prefer a glass this size:
WHOLE BOTTLE OR NOTHING!

@mepayne: when I eat spaghetti my plate looks like the inbetween of 2 and 3. Apparently I should never eat spaghetti…
That steak portion…holy shit. The 3oz is like 3 bites. I normally only get a 6oz when I eat out but damn.

That looks pretty accurate…except for the wine, obviously. LOL

Thanks for posting this. I clearly over portion!

FWIW, a Weight Watchers portion of wine is 5 oz, which looks like quite a lot in my wineglasses!!!
