So I try to eat pretty healthy, not perfect by any means but I don’t eat junk every day, maybe a few times a month if that. Well, of course I pigged out on Thanksgiving and I haven’t felt right since. Friday I was sick to my stomach all day, and was running a low grade fever of 100.9 then medicine took it down. But now I have no appetite even though I can keep food down I barely eat and I feel full plus I don’t feel hungry and haven’t since Thursday. I have a slight headache and haven’t gone to the bathroom since Friday..sorry if that’s TMI! I’m just nervous because of course google says it could be ovarian cancer, heart failure and 100 other things…so what do you think bees? Can anyone maybe with a medical background give me some peace of mind? Thanks!

Ok, first, stop the googling!! It will just freak you out. It sounds like you overindulged and your GI track is a little out of wack. Drink lots of water, relax, and get back you your normal eating habits. If you still feel off, call your doctor on Monday. I hope you feel better soon!

@designtosuit83: Don’t google symptoms. I highly doubt that you have ovarian cancer, but if you’re sincerely concerned, go to the doctor.
It’s very possible you’re just sick. Have you had the flu shot? I know I felt great last week and now I have a sore throat, no voice, and I am big fat blob right now. Take care of yourself, rest, and drink plenty of liquids.

@missapis: Thank you! I am hoping that’s all this is!

@Rouquine: I don’t think I have cancer only because this came after I was a pig on thanksgiving and of course I had a fever which went away quickly and I’m not sick to my stomach anymore just no appetite and I don’t really feel hungry.

Google and Web MD is a bad idea when you’re sick. We’ve all done it though. It’s way too tempting.
As the other ladies have said, you’re probably just off from a big meal. It happens. I hope you feel better soon!

@designtosuit83: I figured you knew. =) Anyways, just let your body to it’s thing. You’re body is in post-Thanksgiving shock! 😛

I am sure your stomach is trying to recover. Is it at all possible you might’ve eaten something on Thanksgiving that wasn’t cooked thoroughly, or hadn’t been chilled and reheated properly? There is a good chance you had a food-bourne illness. Nothing to be really worried about, Americans mistake mild symptoms of food poisoning for the flu all the time.
But, if you did have that, it will take your GI track a few days to replenish the naturally occurring bacteria that gets wiped out when you’re sick. It also sounds like you could still be dehydrated. Gatorade is great to replenish your eleyctrolytes, which are almost always low if your stomach is upset for 24 hours. Try to eat the BRATT diet which is bland for sore and recovering stomachs: bananas, rice, applesauce, tea, and toast.
Get well soon!

As others have said step away from the Google.
It sounds like maybe you are just constipated. That can make it pretty painful and uncomfortable to eat.

@MrsEdamame: Everything she said!
I personally like to take Benefiber if things aren’t moving…nothing like a good ‘ol poop to make you feel better.
Drinks lots and lots of water and feel better soon 🙂

I agree with everyone else. Whenever a person eats healthier and then all of a sudden binges, it’s a huge shock to the system. I definitely second the waters and juices for the next few days. And if you haven’t pooped yet, I recommend a small cup or two of black coffee (no sugar/creamer). It always helps loosen things up for me. 🙂
