I think the shape of the dress your daughter picked will work for both women.
I'm not a fan of the lace detail on the skirt, but there are about a million strapless bridesmaids dressed out there that have a sweetheart neckline you could pick.
Yes, you can order bridesmaids dresses on a "Rush". The fee varies by manufacturer, but you're probably looking at a minimum of $50 per dress.
Wow, what a question. I would say stick to the classic shapes - go with a sheath or an a-line or a circle skirt.
@mrsromo: Thanks. I see your are in Phoenix. Any suggestions where I should shop?
@mcklough: Like a v neck? IDK what a Y shape is.
I am hoping for some pic inspiration photos bee's! :)
my daughter is 10... my girls are 18, 26, and 40... and the 2 dresses that I have picked out will both look great on all of them - alfred angelo styles 7016 and 7172.... they both come in long and short, and look good on all of the girls ( who not only are different in age but very different is shape and size ) . Good luck !!!!
I can't get the pictures to upload so here are a bunch of links - color names are pink and rose petal (and maybe coral, but probably not what you want):
Hope this helps! All from DB which they can ship ASAP!
I know you said you don't want mismatched dresses but are you opposed to your BMs wearing the same fabric, same color, same length, but different top styles?
Check out the Jasmine bridesmaid line (Jasmine, B2, Belsoie)... they have a lot of great choices in many fabrics and colors and the best part is that they carry the same style dress in a jr. bridesmaid style that would be perfect for the 14 year old! They also offer the same dress is either short, tea or long length!

Davids bridal and alfred angelo both offer some dresses that come in womens and jr sizes. If your daughter is in juniors. I would stick to simplier styles, your daughter wll look good in a paper bag but your friend may not. I would take them both out shopping. They could order the same dress but your friend could add a bolero or cardigan for more coverage.
@ccfwwedding: Those are great! Thank you.
@Booknerd: Thank you so much for all the links! There are a couple there I like.
@BayStateBride: No opposed to that at all. In fact I love that idea! Any suggestions?
Thanks Bee's! I'm glad to know there are options. My theme is shabby chic. Should the bridesnaid dresses reflect that? If so do any of the above work?
@Krises: OMG I love that dress!!! It doesn't come in a small enough size for my daughter and the strapless would bother my FSIL. I wonder if a bolero would work with it?
While you want your girls to "match", please consider that short and strapless is going to look DRASTICALLY different between size 2 and size 12. Not to mention, when would a 14 year old and a 34 year old shop in the same dress department? Also, keep in mind that just because a dress comes in a certain size does not mean that it will be flattering on someone of that size. (I'm just assuming here- I don't know your FSIL's body type but I'm going to assume she might be curvy since you mentioned she isn't comfortable wearing something so bare). A short, strapless dress might not be a flattering silhouette on FSIL (or maybe it is, again, I have no idea).
I think your best bet is to pick a designer/color/fabric and let your two gals pick their style of dress. I did this with my girls (who ranged in size from 4 to 18) and they all looked gorgeous. I also ordered mine 6 weeks before the wedding and I think it was an extra $25/dress to order them (got mine from a store called Bella Bridesmaid, the brand was Lula Kate).
Ann Taylor has some really pretty chiffon bridesmaid dresses that come in that soft petal pink if you're looking for some other places to shop. :)
@luvmyDwight: I think a bolero would be cute!! I bet if you called Nordstroms they could tell you if any of their stores have a smaller size in stock. They have amazing customer service. I've gotten shoes shipped to me in my size from different nordstrom stores, once when it was the last one my size in the entire nordstrom department store stock! I'd call and ask.
Not exactly the same, but these come sort of close. I just did a quick google search for blush pink chiffon dresses. I'm sure if you searched some traditional bridesmaid dress websites you could find a dupe for the dress I posted above if Nordstom doesn't have any smaller sizes.
@Miss Root: That's excatly what I am concidering. I agree!
Going to check out Ann Taylor now. Thanks!
@Krises: Thank you. Those others don't compare with the fost one you showed me. I'm in love with the flowers. The problem is even though it would look great on my daughter, mu FSIL not so sure.

Ok, I am way late in the game for this but I am only having 2 girls stand with me. My daughter (bridesmaid) and my FSIL. (MOH)
I let my daughter pick her dress and told FSIL just to pick whatever dress that will go with my daughters when it gets closer to Easter because I know she will want more coverage that my daughters dress.
Now I am regrettng that decision. I want them to match.
Can you bee's help me find a dress that both can wear? My daughter is a size 2/4 and I'm going to guess my FSIL at a size 12/14
My colors are light pink/dusty rose and ivory/cream
This is the original dress my daughter picked.
Can bridesmaid dresses be rush ordered?
