Not really. I've had varying levels of success with Secret Clinical Protection Waterproof, but I'm still wary and experimenting to find the best one.
I am fiercely loyal to Soft and Dri Pulse...its a clear gel/solid...I never ever have BO, I swear. I can never find it in places like Target or Walmart, you usually have to go to a CVS or something to find it...but the search is worth it for me! ;) I hate when you use deodorant that gets that white stuff under your arms...it drives me nuts!
I also use the Secret Clinical protection...not the waterproof though. I also don't follow the directions, lol. I can't make myself put deoderant on at night, shower in the morning and then NOT put it on. I love it though.
i love dove. helps me to not get razor burn and doesn't smell like a boy ;)
I've been alternating between Soft & Dri and Dove. The latter smells so nice, it's like perfume!
I don't have one but I would love to find one! I have hyperdryosis (sp?) so I sweat, alot. Right now I use degree and just hope for the best but it doesn't always work!
I use and love secret clinical protection! It allows me to sweat like a normal person as opposed to a sweaty monster!
I also swear by Secret (Platinum I think it is) and my sister swears by Dove.
I love the way Dove smells. I actually asked a co-worker what perfume she was wearing and she kind of blushed and was like "It's my Dove deoderant!". Sometimes in the summer (because I live in Texas and it's 113 today... not kidding) I layer a spray aerosol deoderant and then the Dove. The aerosol seems to really do the trick.
I love Dove, it's just so soft and smells good.
For anyone looking for something precscription strength - check out Certain Dri. I'll use it in addition to my regular deodorant every few months or during the summer. It's supposed to block your sweat glands. You only put it on at night, but definitely follow the instructions and don't apply to freshly shaven underarms - it burrrrns.
I second certain dri! It is amazing stuff. I used this the night before my wedding and needed nothing the day of.
I like the Secret Clinical Protection for events where I know I will be out in the sun/it will be really hot with no AC/etc but I haven't yet tried the waterproof.
On a daily basis I use Degree Ultra Clear (with the pic of the little black dress on it) and it works very well :)
The Dove brand is nice, definetly makes the skin smooth and not so chalky white bits.
Secret Platinum. I've tried other brands (Dove, Degree, etc), including Secret Clinical, and in my experience I may as well not be wearing anything for all the good they do. But I have never had that issue at all with the Platinum. The nice thing about the Platinum is that you can get it in instant dry clear formulas as well as the original white.
I use Keihls Anti-persperant and deodarant. It's unisex and unscented. It never stains my clothes and works better than any drugstore brand I've ever tried.
@ modern - never heard of it where do you get it?
I'll do anything not to sweat, Im literally stalking this post!
I was going to mention Certain Dry too. That is what the docs will reccommend before doing a prescription. You have to follow the directions and apply at night etc. But it does work. I sweat really bad when I'm nervous under the arms. I don't sweat anywhere else really. And this has helped a lot.
I also swear by Certain Dri. I bicycle long distances in 90 degree plus heat. I will end up with sweat running down my whole face and body--but my underarms are still dry.
Maybe I'll try Soft & Dri. I have been looking for a solid gel stick for a couple years now (found one I really liked a while ago and can't remember what it was).
I also vote for Certain Dry...that's what my FSIL used on her wedding day and she swears by it!
i think there is something wrong with me because even when i wear deodorant, i am a stinkfest. what the heck is going on?! i alternate between dove and secret. somehow, i make the deodorant smell like crap. but the trick is to carry around toner or something with a lot of alcohol in it and wipe your armpits and reapply!
Katy - thanks for the tip!
