@lovelyinside:  I would love to go to Bora Bora or Australia.  However, I’m not sure if I will ever go there.

@lovelyinside:  I will probably never be able to afford to go to Hawaii.  And even if I could, there are so many breathtaking places that are much cheaper to go to.

There are places that I”m fairly certain that I will never have the chance to go, the one I can think of right now is Fiji, it’s just soooo expensive. I would also love to go back to this little fish restaurant in Isafjordur, but I don’t even know the name of it, and even if I were to go back to Iceland I probably wouldn’t spend the extra time and money just for the little resto.

I think the only places that I wouldn’t go are places where my personal secuirty is questionable.  Mainly right now that is most of the Middle East, large parts of Africa and parts of South America.  If it’s not a security question, I will find the money to do it some day.  I love travling.

North Korea. I’ve always been interested in the facade that the government puts up, and that’s basically all you’re allowed to see as a tourist, but the fact that every penny I paid into it would be going directly to support the upper-class rather than the poor means that I’ll never do it.

I’m really into art historyand archaeology so I would love to visit several places in the Middle East like Egypt, Turkey, Jordan. But the political situation in that regison still seems to be a little unstable. I would hate to plan an awesome trip then have to cancel last minute because of protests etc

Saudi Arabia and North Korea because it’s so difficult/impossible to travel there. Never say never, though, who knows how open they are in say 30 years time.

I’d also like to go to Maldives or Seychelles, but not so badly that I’d be willing to pay the hefty price. I’d rather use that money to go to New Zealand or Machu Picchu.

@Alsace:  I always tell my husband that in time that those hostile places could be perfect vacation destinations!

@lovelyinside:  I can’t think of anywhere I won’t be able to visit someday but I am young and naive. I am in the US right now and there is SO much here that I could travel for a life time and never see it all!

I have actually dreamed of getting an RV and driving around the whole US and just seeing the country, like my goal would be to see every state (that I could drive to anyway lol). But just the free time I’d need, not to mention the money just doesnt make it a viable thing to do

There are so many places…I want to go to Thailand, Turkey, some of the Greek islands… but my family is about a 10 hour flight from where we are currently living, so most of our big vacations are about seeing them. Not to mention we have a kid on the way, so travel will not be a big priority in the upcoming years and traveling beyound visiting family is probably not going to happen for a very long time.

I have been able to do a lot of traveling over the past few years as I am in Europe, so I am thankful for that. I do have the opportunity to travel for work as well which isn’t quite the same thing, but I can hope that they’ll send me someplace cool…

Greece. I’ve wanted to go there every since I could remember. Between careers and life, I probably would not be able to go there until I’m retired and by then who knows if I’d have it in me to be a tourist Wink

I made an informal bucket list a few years ago to see all of the US National Parks but I doubt I’ll ever get to them all. I’d need to take like a month off work to hit all of the ones in Alaska.

I think I’m up to ~5 (all via class field trips in college – hell yea geology degree) and I’m already 26. Not a good rate, but I guess it’s not the worst idea to still try!

Edit: there are 59, FYI

I’ll probably never go to India or China… even though I’d like to I/ my fiance don’t feel comfortable going there for various reasons.

I want to go to Iceland someday to try and see the Northern Lights, but that might never happen. :/ We’ll see, though!
