I have a 12 year old daughter but this will be my first marriage. My FI has two sons...23 and 19 and this will be his second marriage.
Thanks for the heads up im fairly new so I am still trying to get a fill for everything :)
We actually had my grown kids (ages 27 and 25) as our attendants.
I never had a "wedding" the first time around. We snuck off to JOP and got married quietly.
Now 10 years later we are renewing our vows at a Catholic Ceremony and going all out! So I guess that *kinda* makes me an Encore Bride?!
We have four children; 9 years, 6 year old twins, and 5 years. They will all be part of our ceremony and can NOT wait! They've been calling it "our anniversary" :)
Second marriage for me and for him, no kids for either of us.
I've been divorced 11 years so it all feels new to me. I had a wedding both times and wore a white dress both times. He's been divorced 1.5 years.
It still has it's issues even with no kids involved. There's a long history in between and parents do not adjust fast.
It's not our first time down the aisle. FI has two grown daughters and I have a 3.5 year old daughter. You're totally not alone. I think maybe Encore brides (and especially ones with young kids!) post a little less frequently. :)

I and my fiance are both having a second wedding, with kids from previous marriage...not quite sure what to do
This is my second marriage and my second wedding ceremony, his first. I have a 2 year old son from my first marriage so I know how you feel. We're getting married March 13, 2010 (only a month away!) and my son is going to be my ring bearer. Good luck on your wedding.
I am a 2nd timer. I have a 7 yr old DD, and FI has a 6 yr old DS and a 9 yr old DD. I'm having my DD walk me down the aisle, and his kids are also going to stand with us as we say our vows....I can't wait!
I'm the encore, FI is a newbie. I have a son (9) and a daughter (8). FI has no children.
First marriage. I have a 7 year old daughter froma previous relationship and fiance and I have a 15 month old son together.

I love it!! FI and I are both in the encore catagory!! I didn't have a big wedding the first time and we're totally going for it! One of the coolest ideas I am incorporating into our wedding ceremony is having out children- my 10 yr old son and his 11 year daughter walk up the aisle together just before the flower girl. They will be lighting the side candles in our unity trio before the ceremony and the FI and I will light the center candle as usual. This will truly symbolize the union of our family!!
Both Mr. Neva and I are encores. Between us, we have five children, ranging in age from 4 to 20. Fortunately, all of them are excited about the upcoming wedding and get along well.
Another encore checking in. He has grown children, I have none. Not sure yet what part, if any, his kids will play in all of this.

Imho, the more the merrier! The more blessings we have! I'm so excited to have two wonderful soon to be stepchildren! We all get along great :)
I was married twice, in 1987 and 1994. Been single for 13 years! He was married once before. So, technically #3 for me and #2 for him, but all that matters is that this is the ONE!
I'm a 3rd time bride(and good gracious this is THE LAST time!) This is his second. This if my 2nd wedding but his 1st. We're also renewing our vows. We planned everything out 2 years ago so we could renew our vows and have a big ceremony and reception.
We are a blended family. I have a daughter and a son from my first marriage, he has 2 boys from his, and we have a son together. GirlyInk is 9(mine) RedInk is 8(his) SuperInk is 7(mine) WildInk is 6(his) and MiniInk is 3(ours)
encore here, too.
we have 6 kids between us. mine are 11 (triplets) and hers are older - 18, 22 & 23. Sort of difficult blending families - mine would love older siblings. her's don't really want more siblings.
Still, they are all part of the wedding (and part of our invitation, also - you can ck it out on the LGBTQ board). My daughters want to walk up together while my son wants to walk me up. We're sort of winging much of the details. We want our reception to be like a party with really good food.
I think that my kids are more excited than hers (makes sense). I just can't wait to stop living in 2 houses and have just ONE house.
This is my second marriage, first wedding. I have a 17.5 yr old son and a 10 yr old son. I was 19 the first time I got married. That was a huge mistake. We split up less than a year after getting married. I look at this wedding/ marriage as if it is my first. My youngest son (from a previous relationship) lives with us and is happy about the wedding/ marriage. He loves his soon to be step father. Yippee!!!!
This is my second time and I have two sons 17 and 19. And he has a daughter, age 18. I'm very excited because I had two boys and always wanted a girl. Lucky for me, she's a fun girly-girl who loves fashion, gossip, getting her nails done, etc. A total bonus :)
