I am having boudoir photos taken and giving them to him as his gift the day of the wedding. We are definitely not doing the garter toss (he doesn't want it). I secretly wanted to buy him a saxophone because he played years ago and doesn't anymore but he says he doesn't want one, we'll see if my budget allows for it.
We are just exchanging wedding gifts the morning of...I will have my MOH take him his, I guess his BM will bring me mine. I got him a pair of vintage map cufflinks with the cities of where we met and where we are getting married.
One of my bridesmaids is playing the guitar while i sing "the only exception" by Paramore for my FI as a surprise at the reception. this song holds a lot of meaning for us and i thought it would be exceptionally special if i sang it to him instead of us just dancing to it.

i'm also putting together a slide show of us and playing "the girl at the rock show" by blink 182 during it because those guys are like hero's for him and we met while i was playing a rock show and he saw me sing.
My groom surprised me at our wedding reception by getting up on stage with the band and playing/singing one of my favorite songs to me. He had sent the band the music so they were ready for him. He'd been practicing the song anytime I was out of the house. And he even changed the words in the song to be about us. It was the coolest thing anyone had ever done for me!
@missomally...so nice to hear the other end of it! i'm not nervous about it but i know i will be the day of. hopefully my FI loves it as much as you loved it!
I think we're distant twins. We're both HUGE cubs fans and I went to the University of Illinois and we still live in that town :)
I'm doing the Cubs garter thing as a surprise, even though I'm not sure if we're doing the toss or not (his call). Also really intereted in boudoir photos!
I am planning to send a care package to the hotel where the guys are getting ready with snacks and beers, etc.... we have agreed not to do gifts - the honeymoon will be our mutual gift to eachother.
I'm spluring and buying him an electric drumset... He has been dying to get one for about 2 years and with everything he sacrifices for us, he deserves it!
I just need to wait on my tax money to come in to go buy it for him! (Luckily one of his good friends who knows a lot about music is helping me, as I know nothing about this sort of thing)
It's a complete surprise and I know he won't expect it at all!

i think we might not do gifts for each other either...but I would LOVE to have ready for him, something like that!
I had a garter made from old army fatigues (my FI in the the militarty) because my FI hummed and hawed about whether or not to wear his army uniform, and decided against it, so the garter is my way of bringing a bit of army into the wedding.
I also purchased a pocket watch to be engraved with our wedding date to have the best man give to him on the wedding day!
I would love to get FI a new watch as a wedding gift... but I don't know if that's going to be possible, as he has expensive taste in watches!
I bought a Pittsburgh Pens garter, which will be a nice surprise for him. I'm also going to have a "pens themed" song play for the garter toss!

anything "small" yet special you're doing for your SO on your wedding day?
I had bought some Chicago Cubs garters that I wanted to wear - even though we're not doing the garter toss - but once i got them (and LOVE them, as we're BOTH huge cubs fans) - I decided instead to let my bridesmaids wear those (one of them is a cubs fan the other couldn't care, lol) - and instead I will be ordering a University of Illinois (Illini) garter to wear as He's a HUGE Illini fan. I really don't care about college sports - but the color (orange) matches our colors, lol.
But I wanted to do just this small thing for Him - as I know he'll like that surprise.
