I can hardly imagine a ball gown on the beach, to be honest. But full A-line, easily!

@freshflowers:  I hope mine somewhat qualifies – we’re getting married on the beach in Florida!  It’s the only time I’m ever going to wear something like this so why the hell not?

My argument is that the ruffles look like waves.  Whatever.  Good enough.  Haha!

@freshflowers:  YES. I don’t have any pictures of me in it, but the model pic is fairly accurate. (I have a similar build to this girl modelling the dress though.) This dress definitely falls into the full A-line category, but there’s room for more crinoline if you wanted to add some extra poof.

I think the pics are fairly accurate. It looked even fuller with the train bustled. I loved it.

I’m not actively trying to sell it, but I’m a size 2 and 5’4 if you are looking at used dresses.

I think part of the problem with destination weddings and ball gowns is how do you bring your dress without damaging it or wrinkling it? As for a ball gown on a beach why not ? Unless you are worried about weight of the gown and it being filled with te sand it picks up?

@freshflowers:  Yeah the top is odd, but if you’re smaller chested I think it could look awesome!  Not on me for sure.  But it’s really pretty!!!  I thought I was going to want something simple to fit with the “beach” vibe but then I was like when else do I get to do this??  Just go for whatever you love!

@nativedesires:  Mine isn’t very heavy actually and has a later of a satiny type material under it to keep the sand out 🙂 and we’re driving…the 16 hours there…so I don’t have to worry about the travel!

@cls9q:  Thank you so much!  It’s Allure 8955 in champagne.  It also comes in ivory (and white I think?).

It looks very different on the model though, I think:

That one on me was a size too large.  And a sample, so the ruffles aren’t quite as perky!

I think this looks super beachy, and I guess it’s ballgown-ish. I absolutely love it.
