So my fiancé and I are debating about the white space in our invites. He thinks that there’s too much white space above the lettering. I kinda like it lower like how it is.

Opinions? Can you have too much white space?
P.S. The whole theme is kinda very simple / slightly modern / elegant.

It looks very pretty off to the side. There is a lot of white space, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

If you like it off to the side, I would suggest playing around with resizing the fonts and adding some emphasis to key words/lines of text to take up some of the white space.

I’d rework the sizing some or use smaller paper.

I don’t know if it’s necessarily that there’s too much white space as my eyes just want the font to be larger? Hmm… looking at it again, I think I’m going to agree with your fiance. But that is just my aesthetical (is that a word?) opinion. 🙂

what about making the font a bit bigger?

I love white space. However, the design of your invitation appears to be based on having some counter-balancing graphic elements on the left side that extend higher on the card. If all you are planning to have on the invitation is what we can see (plus the text that you’ve blurred out for privacy reasons), I would suggest re-working the design a bit.
You can still have liberal amounts of white space as long as the white space isn’t trapped or doesn’t look as if some other element is just pleading to occupy the space.

Agree with resizin the font or making the card smaller to eliminate some of the white space. Some white is not a bad thig but yeah, think this is a bit too much emptiness

Yes, it looks like a printing mistake to me. That’s what I would think if I received it.

I agree with your FI. It looks awkward.

It does look very very… empty.
Could you perhaps make the font bigger and center it or something? Or would you have the option of choosing a smaller sized invitation? It actually looks extremely large compared to most of the invitations my FI and I looked at when we had our consultation with the stationery shop.

I like how it’s off centered; it does look very modern. I think printing it on a smaller paper would be better. I do have to agree that there is too much white space.

Love the idea, but I agree, try a bigger font!
