My wedding will be in the burbs of Philly,, during peak season on a saturday night. My DJ works with a photographer and they have a DJ/photogrpaher/photobooth package. He is charging me $2600 for 5 hours of DJ services, hours of photobooth plus attendant and props, 8 hours of photography with access to all images and 3 50 picture photo albums plus 3 8″by 10″ pictures for framing. Should I take the offer, negotiate, or shop around even more?

@jackndiane: that sounds like an awesome deal to me. I live in Baltimore, so near Philly, I am getting married peak season on a Saturday evening as well and I am paying $2000 for my DJ and $3,200 for my photographer…so $5,200 for the two of those!!

Sounds like a great deal to me! My photos were 3k and my DJ was $750. I thought I got a good deal (for the quality) on both.

That sounds really good to me too. I had my wedding 30 minutes from Boston, not sure if thats considered the burbs, but my dj was 1400 and photog was 3k, with 1 album, no prints. With 3 albums and photobooth that sounds really good to me.

@jackndiane: Yeah that’s pretty amazing. Just make sure that you’re comfortable with the photogs style! I’m not familiar with DJ pricing so much yet, but I’m getting married in Wilmington, DE (essentially a suburb of Philly), and most of the photog packages I was looking at started at 3k for the basics. I ended up with a really nice package from a photographer in Lancaster for 2k though!
