I am looking for a gift for the piano player that will be playing our wedding. She is a very good family friend and like a second mother to me. I want to get her something as a thank you. Would this bangle be an appropriate thing to give? I thought it was very simple so it would go with anyone’s style. I am so bad with gifts!

I think it’s a good gift if she wears bracelets. Otherwise it’s a nice gesture but might not get worn. What are some of her other hobbies or likes?

Just an FYI, some piano players don’t like bangles because they’re hard to wear when playing. I’d do something with a little more sentimentality! (I PERSONALLY love it though!)

anneh1990: Why not get her a necklace with a piano or music note charm on it? I think that would be cute! I like the bangle but like a PP said, she won’t be able to wear it while she is playing.

Does she wear bracelets often? I think the bangle is lovely and it’s the thought that counts. However, if you never see hear wear bracelets, then I wouldn’t give it to her.

I think PPs have made a good point about how a bangle might not work well for someone who often plays piano. What would you normally get her for a gift? I like the idea of jewelry with some nod to music or a piano so she can remember your wedding when she wears it!

anneh1990: I play the piano often, and bangles don’t bother me 🙂 I think it’s a lovely gift and a thoughtful gesture on your part.
