Is this a reasonable price?

That sounds like a good deal. Just check to make sure that you will have access to the venue outside of those 4.5 hours in case you need to set something up or bring something? I know my venue allows 8 hours to be divided however we want between setup, breakdown, and event.

@simone_s:  4.5 hours for $2000 is not bad at all, but if those hours include set up and take down, I’d be worried about the time constraints.  What is the cost of additional hours? Or am I misunderstanding and they will set everything up before and after outside of those 4.5 hours and you just do not have access?

Sounds reasonable, though maybe a little short.  I have my venue for 6 hours (reception only) plus 1 hour for the ceremony.

Mine is $2000 + tax for all that time and includes all setup, breakdown, furniture, tables, chairs, linens, and bar staff.  Though I am also paying their open bar package along with that.

My venue includes all of that minus the candles and is $200 for 5 hours but had a food minimum of 3k which we will easily triple and its not an expensive area. We also have access father night before and all day the day of. I’d be worried about not being able to set up your own additional decorations before the wedding. Besides that its a good deal. are you going to have time to take photos at the venue before or after the ceremony? 4.5 hours is quick for a ceremony and reception

@simone_s:  Yes, that sounds likea very good deal 🙂

I paid $1,250 for my 5hr event, which included everything yours did, but no stemware, or tableware.

I’m also from one of the cheapest places in the nation because of the mid-michigan economy.

I will say though, that whether or not I would go with that venue would depend on their food cost. My venue let me bring in a caterer & bartender & alcohol, so my wedding was pretty cheap compared to what it could have been.

@simone_s:  that sounds like a good deal ; ) our venue is 1,200 for 5 hours but it does not come with the chairs for the ceremony or table linens the caterer will supply that and hes running us close to 3,000 for 120 ppl served buffet w a cocktail hour. your cottage venue sounds beautiful. i would love to see pictures of it. i love cottages. is it near the water?
