I am planning on doing my own centerpieces. Pretty simple round bowl half filled with water and floating flowers and votives wrapped with ribbon. The day of the wedding who puts these together and sets them up seeing that they will need water. Any one do their own and who helped set them up?

will you have a day of coordinator or venue coordinator? If so, then discuss it with them, it might be something they will take care of for you. If not…you might need to recruit some help (but I’d stay away from bridesmaids/parents/ or anyone in the wedding party)

Yes sometimes your venue will help you with this. Or get a family friend you trust to do this. You and your family won’t have time for these type of things the day of.

Can you set them up the night before at the Venue so you don’t have to worry about it the day of? And then add the flowers a few hours before?

My fiance’s parents said their caterer helped them out at my FSIL’s wedding, mabye that’s an option? I know they had to pay extra, but it got done.

If your venue does not do this for you, then enlist a family member or friend that can handle this for you that you trust to do it right. Make sure that whomever you choose that you show by picture or tell them exactly how you want them done.
For our wedding, I set up the centerpieces the day before but had my great friend light the candles and make sure other things are in place on the day of.

Soooooo not a silly question because I’m in the same boat.
My fiancee and I asked a close friend and her daughter if they could be our “day of” wedding coordinators to do just this. Along with setting up our centerpieces and favors they’ll also be checking in the guests to make sure we don’t have any party crashers. She was very excited to take on this task.
