I have small hands.... I am not materialistic at all about rings. I am just thinking of getting a plain band. Do you ladies think this is alot of bling?
A lot of people may not agree with me but I am a less is more kinda girl and with your small fingers I would have to vote for a plain ring!
Does this look tacky? Honestly, I can return the band if i need too. He is so sweet and gave it to me already:) I love him!!!
If you'd be more comfortable with a plain band, then go for it! That doesn't look bad at all, but I'm more of a fan of solitares so I'd push for something simple, lol. If you want a plain band, it will look just fine! :D
I'm not the best person to ask =]
Case in point: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/married-ladies-show-us-your-wedding-sets
But no i think it's lovely =]. However if it feels overwhelming to you, a plain band might be a nice choice. How about having both, so you can do what you please here and there?
I think it's great! The rings really compliment each other. No such thing as too much bling!
How about this question: Does this look tacky on my small hand? Honesty is truly welcomed:) I do like it I just am not used to alot of jewlery and I don't want to seem arrogant.
I would definitely NOT call it tacky - the rings are GORGEOUS and they go well together!!!!!
If you think that it is just because you are not used to it where them for a while and see if you get used to it and if you still aren't comfortable with it go for a plain band!
my only 2cents is to ask yourself does it suit your lifestyle and will you wear it???
my wedding band had 14 diamonds in it but due to my lifestyle (work out daily, ocean swims, scuba diving) i dont wear it or my e-ring and i have a plain gold band that i wear all the time
but if you get the plain band will you be thinking about and wanting this one? who cares if someone else thinks its tacky or not - its how you feel about it that matters
No not tacky at all! Just b/c you rock some bling doesn't make you arrogant, either! See how it feels after a few days. At first it can feel like a lot, but after a few days it sorta just becomes you! It may get you a little bit of attention occassionally, but hopefully nothign rude. I've only had maybe a couple of people say something negative about my ring but it happens. Some people are really *not* into the blingies but most women will admire it =]. And men will know to stay away!!!! are they a matching set? cuz if not, they match perfectly!
OMG. I have that same band and I think its my engagement ring too. Is it the matching band to the ring?? I thought I was looking at mine. LOL I love it, but of course I am biased. :)
I don't think it looks tacky, but it looks like it might be uncomfortable since they take up so much of your finger below the middle joint!
But if it feels ok and suits your lifestyle, go for it! I love the set... we thought about getting one that was very similar. :)
I don't think it looks tacky at all! However, I like the look of a plain band next to a gorgeous e-ring because I think it shows off the beauty of the larger stone. That's just my personal preference though :)
You have a gorgeous set!!
definitely not tacky!!
It all depends on what you like. If it were me, I would go with a simpler band as your e-ring is so pretty, I think the bulkiness of the band takes away from it a little bit. I would go for either a slimmer diamond band or a plain one.
Or you could wear them on different hands? then its def. not too much bling!
or if you love it , rock it!! no one will ever think you are being arrogant, just a lucky girl :)
It's totally up to you! But personal, I think the more bling the better! :)
as the above- its NOT TACKY! i personally would go with a thinner plain band as it shows off your gorgeous ering =)
honestly, it'd be too much for me, but that doesn't mean it's too much for you! it's very pretty and sparkly :) however, if you're asking this question it seems like you might be a little uncomfortable with the ring. if you are, definitely get something you won't feel self conscious about.
i say there is no such thing as too much bling when done tastefully (which yours is) do you think the width of the bands is what concerns you? if so can you get too slimmer bands on either side or even one slimmer band?
I like the rings, just not together. They don't look like they sit flush. That would be my only issue with it.
I think it's pretty - but if you don't feel comfortable wearing it then maybe a plain band would be the way to go!
I like it! But if you're not comfortable with it, I'd go with the plain band. But since that one is a gift from you fiance, will he be offended? I vote to keep it.
If you feel it might be too much bling, perhaps you can get a thinner pave band. That way you can still keep the idea of the bling, but tone it down a little bit. I like your set, though! :o)
Personally, unless it's a bad angle for the picture, it think it looks a little overwhelming for the hand.
very pretty, but -- i think it's too chunky/wide for your delicate hands! i agree with someone above: if you like pave, go for it -- but maybe a thinner band. (or, if you want something classic, a plain band.)
Call me the girl who should've been from Texas (everybody meets me and guesses that's where I'm from anyway), but I heart bling!
You can never be too rich, too happy, or have enough sparkly, prehistoric-aged carbon rocks that did good under pressure on the hand, neck or ears!!!
I love your set!
I love simple sets, but as long as you love it that is all that really matters. It is beautiful!
I think they look great, though it's all about what you love. Then again, it looks a lot like my set ;)
Like you, I have very, very small hands and my e-ring is a princess cut solitaire and the wedding band I am planning on getting is a thin pave band. Otherwise it would be way too much for my hand. The rings are beautiful, but I do think it is a bit much for you little finger. However, if you really love it, then I say go for it. It really only matters what you think.
Your ring is about as wide as mine--personally i find it more comfortable than thinner bands b/c it doesn't spin around or anything. It stays still!
does it feel like too much to you? Because it really doesn' tmatter what everyone else thinks in the end. Your FI picked it out for you, right? I've had a handfuls of "gaudy" and "too much" comments thrown my way but when you look at me, despite just my hands, it really fits just fine =]. So sometimes it's hard to tell with just your fingers on a tiny little snapshot!
Try wearing it around for a little bit and see if you find yourself staring excessively.
Some are into the more delicate look and some are more into the, er, flashy look? shoot i don't even know how to explain it--flashy sounds like a negative thing =]. At first i thought my ring was a little too big, too, but my mom told me there was no such thing as too big of a diamond ring! She's right, it grew on me, so yours might grow on you, too =]
I agree with Miss Yap..."is there anything as too much bling!?"
NO it is not tacky at all. The two rings are beautiful together. My opinion is to go with what you are comfortable with wearing and maybe basing it on your lifestyle will help you make the decision. I think either way they will look beautiful.
It looks beautiful together, but in my opinon, a slightly thinner wedding band would allow the engagement stone to be a bit more prominent in the set. Good luck with your decision!
The rings look beautiful together.
But like others have said, think about your lifestyle. I have what some might consider lots of bling and I wear my full wedding set every day, but I like to be dressed up and my rings fit that style. There's no sense in getting a ring you won't wear.
it's not tacky! do you like the set and the way it looks on your fingers? that's what really matters is how YOU feel about it. does that band come thinner? if you think it is to thick on your hand maybe you could get a thinner band that would still match perfectly with your e-ring
Honestly the only person who can answer that is you. Are you happy with it? does it feel like 'you' to be wearing it? There is no right answer other than what feels right to you.
FWIW I think it looks gorgeous.
I like it but its all about what you want! Here is what I like about diamond bands and yours suits perfectly to this argument...when I am working, sometimes my ER bangs a little bit so once I get over my fascination with my rings, I will just wear my band to work. Somtimes I only want to wear my band bc my ER is a little heavy and is thicker so when my hands swell up, I feel better and more comfortable with just my thin channel set band. Sometimes you may want to wear just your band and there you still got some bling on!
