    Hi All,

I have been thinking again and again about my bridesmaids gifts.  I want to do something thoughtful and spend an appropriate amount on them, but having 6 bridesmaids poses some financial limits.  I did not pay for their bridesmaids dresses, but they were only $45, normally $190.  I was planning on having a wine and cheese pairing at my house a couple days before the wedding as a thank you, and giving them each a coach cluch that was personally selected with their individual tastes in mind.  The clutches were $40 at the outlet, normally $90.  I'd obviously include a thougthful, personal note for each.  I am not requiring that they have their hair nor make up done, although someone will be available to them for both, the day of.  The person doing the make up is a friend, and will do theirs for free. . . I'm getting her her own gift for doing so.  Do you think this is an appropriate and thoughtful gift, or should I do more?  If more, do you have any ideas?  Thanks!!

I think those would be AMAZING gifts for your BM's! Totaly more then you 'have' to. And the personal notes would add an even more personal touch to an already sweet and thoughtful gift

Great idea! Definitely above and beyond what is "required" and I think they'll really love it!

Thanks!  I got worried when I started reading some of the posts where girls reported buying the BM dress, hair, nails, and multiple gifts.  I truly appreciate my briedesmaids, but just can't afford to do all that for 6 of them.  Thanks for your feedback!  It helps!

This is a great idea!  There is a Coach outlet near me so I'll be checking them out.

I also felt like I wasn't getting my BMs enough but with 7 of them, I just really can't afford it.  I've been a BM 3 times and paid for everything myself and never thought twice about it.  I was greatful for the thoughtful gifts the Brides gave me but they weren't extravagent.

I think that would be a great gift!  I especially like your idea of inviting them over for wine and cheese - it would be a great way to spend some quality time with your bridesmaids.

That's stellar! I am also having a stylist on hand the day of to style the girls' hair if they choose to go that route. I got my girls a few trinkets--nothing as chic as a Coach clutch. I am sure they will love that!

sounds like a good idea as long as they are into the wine and cheese thing. I know most girls are, but it doesn't hurt to ask. I would be bummed personally, but then again i hate wine.....

That is way thoughtful of you, and way beyond what you have to do.

Thanks for all the info ladies!  The wine and cheese pairing was a hit!  A wine expert at Beverages and More was really helpful and I was able to buy most of the cheese there as well.  Also, the girls loved their purses.  I found cheap cute decorated mirrors and my favorite lip gloss and put one in each purse.  They loved it!

Sounds like a very thoughtful gift.  If I was your bridesmaid, I would be very happy!
