Is this black and white patterned dress appropriate for a wedding?

    @simplewedding:  Its got hardly any white, I’d go for it! Besides, no WAY it could look like a bridal gown so I say you’re golden 🙂

    I wore a similar dress to a wedding, and it was ruled acceptable by the Hive, so I think yours is fine!

    Is it a bridal gown?  No


    Could anyone mistake you for the bride?  No


    Is it an all white number?  No  (Even though this is not an etiquette violation some brides are intense about white)


    Does it attract too much attention?  No


    There’s your answer.  It is 100% fine.  Anyone who has a problem with a dress with a tiny corner of white will probably have a problem with anything.

    Totally fine! It’s not solid white. 

    Also, the general trends for eveningwear today have pretty much thrown out the “no black” rule. 95% of dresses are black anymore.

    @simplewedding:  I am always of the opinion that if I have to ask if something is okay, then it is not. That being said I think that it is fine to wear as a guest.
