@anonicorn:  I’m so sorry but I instantly think of Fievel Goes West. For me, I would pass on it but if you love it then go for it!

@kimmo416:  me too. OTOH, most kids his age won’t have heard of it. OTOOH, most kids his age won’t have heard of the name at all

@Laurenplusalex:  That is true. While other parents may make that association, other kids most probably will not.

@kimmo416:  “American Tail: Fievel Goes West” was actually the second movie.  “An American Tail” was the first movie to star the immigrant mouse, Fievel.  But yeah….I don’t think I could name my kid after a cartoon mouse.

@Miss Apricot:  I know it’s the second movie, but that’s what instantly pops into my mind first – the movie title.

    Like the mouse?

No, it’s an awful name and that kid will be picked on so bad in school.

In my humble opinion, it is not a name I would want to have, and I think it will cause any child grief growing up.

I never watched the movie, but the name makes me think of some kind of rodent, like a weisel or something?  I’m not a fan.

Yeah… I have a hard time thinking anyone in our generation isn’t going to think of the mouse movies. Which were cute, btw! But no, I wouldn’t name my son that.
