I can’t be bothered anymore. I am done looking at gorgeous wedding cakes that 1) I will not eat because I hate icing, and 2) I cannot afford.
These cakes are chocolate (they are DELICIOUS) and they are in my price range. I could add chocolate curls to the tiers (white on to the milk chocolate cake or vice versa) or berries. We are getting married in a barn conversion so think lots of wooden beams and fairy lights. Colours are gold, dusty pink and ivory.
What do you think? Which one do you prefer?

linnylou_88: I prefer the dark chocolate with the berries. I also HATE icing- I get sick feeling if I eat much sugar- so I feel ya! This is a pretty awesome alternative!

I love white chocolate but it tends to be too sweet sometimes … Other than that, I think both look lovely when they come with berries. Perhaps you could have one tier chocolate, the next one white chocolate and so on? If you don’t like the look of it, you can still cover them in the same kind of chocolate as it’s done now, but guests will get both / the different flavors.

My pregnancy brain says “EAT THEM ALL!”
My more rational brain says the dark chocolate and berries. White chocolate can get a bit too sweet for me, but the berries look just delicious with the chocolate.

We had the same color scheme so I say white on white because it will match your colors. I think they are all lovely and match the theme of your wedding though!

You can’t go wrong with either one, I think, they’re all gorgeous and I bet they taste incredible! Yum, chocolate cake, the best thing in the world! <br /><br />Maybe milk chocolate is the safest choice though – I know a few people who don’t like white chocolate that much. And I love the way it looks with berries! It’s a pretty combination, not to mention delicious.

These cakes area AMAZING!!! How does it work? Is it just regular cake with choclate wrapped around it instead of icing? More details please! I love the look of the milk chocolate with berries, but white chocolate is my favorite flavor of chocolate so I’m totally torn!

linnylou_88: I voted for milk with berries because I feel like it’s honest, LOL. Some people are anti-white chocolate, and might be unpleasantly surprised when it comes time to eat cake because they’d assume the white chocolate was just regular icing. No one will mistake the milk chocolate for anything but chocolate. That said, *I* love white chocolate *and* regular chocolate and would be super happy with any of those cakes.

I think white with berries would look the best with your color scheme, but milk chocolate will appeal to the most guests.

I really like both of the berry ones: white becuase it has better contrast and looks more traditional, milk because I like chocolate, but not white or dark.

LAB: it might surprise you but they are not made by a specialist bake. They are from an up-market supermarket in the UK called Marks and Spencers. They cost.. $400 in USD!
