So I bought my wedding dress last week and a couple of days later, my stepmother called the store to inquire about the designer of the dress. To be perfectly honest, as someone who never attended prom or any other formal event, I’ve never even purchased a dress from a shop before. The woman at the store, though, told her that the designer does not reveal who they are because there is a large market for those copying the design of the dress? So she wouldn’t reveal who had actually designed my dress. Is this normally done? If that’s the case, how is it that the designer creates a market for themselves if know one is allowed to know what dresses they’ve designed? 😛 Sorry if this is a silly question to begin with!
