So I absolutely love this gown and everything that it does for my body, but is it wedding-y/appropriate for a Catholic ceremony? I haven’t taken my mother yet and am hesitant to pull the trigger because my mother’s vision of a wedding gown is…a ballgown. Just wanted to know what you ladies thought! TIA!!

I think as long as it’s not so much body showing you’re good!!!!!

cnguyen1104: Have you talked with your priest? There doesn’t seem to be much consistency between priests on this issue.
Many priests like the shoulders to be covered.

cnguyen1104: I think it looks very modest, actually. I’m assuming it isn’t backless or anything? That lace is gorgeous! Good choice!

That dress is AMAZING. And feels very appropriate for church, but still modern, which is a total win, I think!
Can I ask who the designer is? I love it a lot!

Yay! Thank you SO much ladies! I was worried that it was bordering too much on evening-wear, but as long as everyone approves :p
julies1949: Thank you for the reminder! I will have to check on the shoulders, but he said as long as it wasn’t ridiculously low cut (he has stories), he’s not too strict about it!
KingsDaughter: This made me giggle!! I probably should’ve worded it a bit differently!
Bridey77: Not backless! Just a slight v-cut in the back. I wiiiiish I had a back to pull off a backless dress. Sighs.
LarLa: Thank you so much!!
magazinegirl37: Thank you! I’ve been having a hard time finding a lace gown that doesn’t overwhelm me as I’m on the shorter side, but my girlfriends said this elongated my body! And it’s from BHLDN and its name is Ines 🙂 It’s brand new and the best part? It’s only $700!!

That is stunning! Not at all what I expected to see with this title!

I’m catholic and I would wear that as a wedding dress. I actually think it’s more conservative than most puffy in your face ballgowns. I think if your mum has a problem with it it will be more because its not as glamourous as she envisioned. Other than that it is so tasteful and elegent 🙂

i got married in a very strict catholic church and that dress is a bit more modest than what i wore, so yeah, i think it’s totally appropriate and beautiful and you look amazing!

cnguyen1104: I would think so! It seems appropriate for your ceremony setting. I would suggest taking family/friends to see it, so they can tell you if it is (because they see it in person). Dress is beautiful and you look wonderful in it. Congrats!
