So, I'm torn.  I love this dress, and originally bought it for the bridal shower my BMs are throwing for me in May.  The more I think about it though... I kinda feel like it's a little too formal for the shower.  The shower is going to be at an Italian restaurant on a Saturday afternoon.   I wish I could just make up my mind on this "event" dress stuff!  I had an easier time picking out my wedding dress.

So, to which event would you wear this?  Shower or rehearsal dinner?

Such a cute dress! IMO the dress looks a little more daytime than evening and therefore I would be more apt to wear it to the lunch time shower vs. the rehearsal dinner. But then again I'll use any event to get dressed up! :)

But see for me, you can dress up or down practically any dress (minus long formal glitzy gowns).  Do some cute flat sandals or low heels and minimal jewelry. Leave the hair casual and even add a cute cardigan and volia, chic casual.

Dress it up with high heels and some bangles on the arm.  Add earrings and do your hair up and it's rehearsal dinner worthy.

I would wear it for the shower. To me, it seems less formal than what I would wear to a rehearsal dinner.

I would wear it for the shower and have something more dressy for a rehearsal dinner. In my opinion it looks too business casual.

    Maybe this site helps: http://www.districtweddings.com/what-to-wear-rehearsal-dinner-fashion/

I would wear something more like this:

It's a really cute dress, but I would tend more towards a floral or pastel dress for a shower and wear that for the rehearsal!

Thanks for all of the input, ladies!  The poll is pretty split... although that's basically how my thoughts are right now, lol.

I do think it is a little business casual, now that I think about it.  I could definitely wear this to work, which probably isn't the best choice for the rehearsal.  I think it's just going to stay my shower dress, unless I see a cute pastel/floral one like LatteLove mentioned.... then I guess I won't be wearing it to either!  :)
