No, I wouldn’t be offended.  For two reasons: 1 it’s nothing like white and 2. if I were wearing a “creamy gold” bridal gown, I’d already know that it’s out of the ordinary and guests therefore wouldn’t know to avoid that color.

I think that if you’re worried it is inappropriate for a wedding, it probably is. I’m sure you have another dress that might be better suited for the occasion. That being said, it is a GORGEOUS dress and so is the girl wearing it.

Event though we are having a destination wedding our colors are cranberry, slate and cream and we would love it if a guest wore cream/light gold. I think the dress pictured is lovely and definitely works for a wedding!

I really do not understand this whole “too close to white” mentality.  Whoever misses the girl with the white puffy dress is an idiot.  I have yet to hear of a single wedding were a guest was mistaken for the bride.  I say wear it!  It is not close to white for what I can see, and it is a very pretty dress!  Good luck and have fun at the wedding!

I personally would not wear it.  I think if you even question the color, stay away from the dress.  It is beautiful, but I’m sure you have other dresses that would work too!  Save that dress for another occasion.

It’s beautiful, you look amazing in it, wear the dress.

Believe it or not few brides (rational ones anyway) actually give a flying f*** about what anyone is wearing to their wedding.

@OoOTifsterOoO:  That dress is amazing. I wouldn’t care at all if someone wore that color to my wedding, and I certainly wouldn’t raise an eyebrow if I saw a guest wearing it to a wedding I was attending.
