Is this dress special enough? : wedding dress ruffles 001So I am having a difficult time deciding if I should get this dress or keep looking.  I LOVE ruffles and had a hard time finding dresses in my area that have ruffles.  I found this one and was excited to find it on house of brides for 560 (it retails over 1000).  However I think they accidentaly put the wrong price on the dress, because when I went online a week later it was $1000.  That is over my budget and I need some opinions (people that will give it to me straight) about whether it looks good on and if it looks "special".  Is this dress special enough? : wedding dress ruffles 002Order Buy it and go over budget or keep looking? I really wasn't crabby!

I love it, and I don't know how much more special and unique you're going to get than that!  Keep in mind, while online we see lots of cool and unique dresses, most people haven't really seen that much variety in real life.  If you love this dress, you should get it.  But you still have time if you want to keep looking as well.  Maybe if you keep looking and find yourself going back to this dress, that will confirm it more for you.

well, it depends on  lots of things. I would say that for classic brides and people (the guests) that would not be an special dress. For the modern ones, that dress rocks! you see? but deep down, I believe you can make it look wonderful and special no matter what dress you choose. The way you wear your dress, the jewlry , hairstyle, make up and you actitude makes it all!  Now, if you´d like to combine modern and classic styles, I would just add a fuller pettitcoat or something like that.

I am having a "country classic" wedding.  My venue is like a log cabin inside (exposed logs).  There will be about 225 people.  My colors are black, ivory and apple green.  I wanted something that was classic but also different (but not too crazy!).  I love the ruffles and sweatheart neckline.  I was liking mermaid styles but none of them had trains really and I wanted a train.  I'm not in love with the beading on this dress but did like how it fit closer through the hips (some of the poofier dresses hit right at my hip and made me look chunkier).  Also would love to have a corset back. I'm so mad I didn't buy it when it was 560!  At that price it was a great deal and it didn't feel scary to buy it at $1000 I feel like I gotta have this "spectacular" dress!  Hmmmmmm

while i dont really get "country classic" when looking at the dress, if its something you keep getting drawn back to i would listen to your heart. :)

I love it! It look great on you.... Why dont you wait a few months and see if the price goes down again.... Websites usually tell you if the dress is going to be in stock and for how long. Even have a plan b dress if the price dosent go down or you cant get it! I would pay full price for that dress tho!!!!!!!

I'm trying to mix different things.  I grew up "up north" Wisconsin.  The venue we are having it at is very "ski lodge" like (thats the best way to describe it).  However I tend to be more modern.  So I'm kind of combining it all.  Black and White Damask and green.  The flowers will be green and very earthy like.  Yeah I'm pretty much going with all the things I like and hoping it works! lol
