I love this dress. I tried it on and I didn’t think I’d like it but I did. My mom was against it at first, but looking at pictures she agrees it’s one of her favorites. Do you think it’s too different and I may regret it?

I think it looks great on you. If you love it you should get it! It’s very unique and beautiful.

oh sorry! i see it now! it was not showing up when I first opened it.
Honestly, I think it is a very different dress. But if this is your style and you like it go for it. you want your dress to represent you or a part of you. for example, I am very plain jane so it would be weird on me. I think you are asking the wrong question. You need to ask…does this dress work for you?

@bestbuddies: You can’t see it?

There are brides who want to be timeless and there are brides who want to make a statement or just be who they are right now. If you’re looking for a dress that people aren’t going to giggle at in 20 years, well it is probably not the dress. I’m of the opinion that if your’e getting married NOW you should embrace what you love now. Who cares what our children think of our dresses? I am not planning to wear mine to my 25th anniversary dinner so I’m not concerned about it aging well. I think if you love it you should not worry about it being different and should just go for it.

That definitely is not too different at all! well it is different but not in a bad way at all. if you love it, go for it! it is a beautiful dress

Absolutely not! You look beautiful.

If you love it and feel great it in, then wear it!!! I also dont think it matters that the gown has to be timeless. You’re getting married in 2012 and the dress should represent you at the time of the wedding rather than timeless version of you [if that even exists]

I think it is gorgeous and I would totally wear it! But it all depends on how you feel in it and where you are getting married – but I say go for it.
BTW we are getting married the same day! I bought my dress last November and it just came in. I thought mine was going to be too much, but it doesn’t matter because every time I put it on I feel amazing in it! As long as you are comfortable you will radiate that to your guests and they will see how happy you are 🙂

I don’t think its too different & I like it! Don’t think about what other people are thinking, or what people may think in the future – if YOU like it now, then rock it!

Um, I like the dress itself (kinda looks like mine actually), but in my opinion I think you could find something more flattering on you. But everyone else seems to like it, so go for it if you like it!

I love that it’s different.
If you love it and see yourself in it on your wedding day, it is the perfect dress for you. But if you foresee that you’ll come to the Bee after you secure it and feel regret after seeing more traditional dresses, I say keep looking.

@BluegrassBridetoBee: It looks great on you. Do you feel like a bride on her wedding day in that dress? Do you feel like you and comfortable in that dress? For me, the biggest criteria of my dress was comfort. I felt comfortable in my dress and it suited my personality. I tried on dresses that didn’t feel like me at all and knew that those weren’t for me. I wouldn’t care about the timelessness of the dress or not. If it’s you, go for it.
