I would mail them just to get them off your hands (it was SUCH a relief to get mine in the mail.. lol)
Our RSVP date was/is for today the 25th & our wedding is April 9th... This gave me more time to get in touch with the stragglers to finalize my list...
getting table seating info the week of the wedding is NOT what I want to be doing! lol
I think your times look great! Should be plenty of time for guests to RSVP
Wouldn't March 1st be too early since that will be 2.5 months before? My concern is people will RSVP yes and then since its so early, theyll forget.
@ellabee Oh Oh.. How does the "B" list work? I'm starting to think theat we aren't going to have anyone at our wedding... with only 10 rsvps back... lol
@amnystik:Most brides have 3 lists, A B C. Your A list is everyone you want to invite to your wedding. Lets say you have a limit of 80 people, Your A list will have the top 80 people you want there. You send your RSVPs out and get 6 NO's. You move onto your B list and pick 6 people from there to send invites to. Your B list is people you wouldn't mind being there. Your C list is last resort but most brides never make it to that.
I can't imagine that your friends and family would just straight up FORGET about your wedding. I'd be concerned if that was the case!
That is plenty of time for RSVPs. I pretty much followed the same time as you including OOT and international guests. I will say that I sent the invite just a little bit earlier. I sent them so the guests got them 2 months before the wedding. This was good because two came back as not being able to read the address.
I'd send them out earlier rather than later.
If you're worried about guests forgetting, you can always send an e-mail to all of your guests with "wedding logistics" info. :)
That timeline sounds right to me. I cannot Rsvp too early for events because of the FHs job. If I have to Rsvp over a month before, I usually have to say no unless it is a family event. I can never guarantee that we will be there.
We have to have our final count in to the venue a full month before the wedding so our invitations have already gone out for our May wedding. If someone would forget about my wedding I don't think I would want them there anyways. We only had an A list because we wanted less people there, so all the no's we get are actually exciting because it means a less crowded room. I'd say send them out March 1st, that way people have some time to plan.
I would send them earlier rather than later too! I gave my guests 6 weeks to reply and had the RSVP date 6 weeks before the wedding, which was good cause I had to track down about 50% of our guest list!
@piglet_625: Your wedding is this Saturday!!!! You must be SO excited!

We are planning on sending our invitations March 19th with an RSVP date of April 16th. We did not want to send invitations too early because we don't want people to forget. LOL. We are sending OOT invitations March 1st and have already sent International invitations. I see alot of bees sending invitations three months before the wedding with an RSVP date of one month before the wedding. Unfortunately I already printed all the RSVP cards. Are my times ok or should I be mailing sooner? My wedding date is May 28th 2011.
