Remember that perfect travel agent I talked about not too long ago – well she’s still perfect, but on a sliding scale.
She gets me what I ask for, days and days later and now that I’m ready to book she’s taking her sweet time getting back to me.
I did send a few e-mails asking questions, but then emailed once more saying, "never mind we’d like to book our trip please" (I even entitled the e-mail We’re ready to book our honeymoon!) and she’s re-answering questions now from a week ago….things she’s already given me quotes on and what not.
So would it be harsh, as I e-mailed her over 24 hours ago (giving her all day today) to send me the info on what I need to do to book, to send another e-mail now letting her know if she can’t accomodate my request in the next 24-48 hours I’ll find another agent?
I know she’s busy and I’m not the only person she’s working with but she has the info ready for me, according to a past e-mail so whats the hold up. Doesnt’ she get comission? I would take the "ready to books" over the "eh what about this place" people any time, especially when it’s only a matter of sending an e-mail with copy/paste info in it?
(okay and I love you all but please no more "calm down, realax and breath" comments….lol – I’m not spazing out here, I’m just asking for your opinion…hahahahaha I know I can get overworked, it’s a personaility quirk….you learn to live it with…sometimes…hahahaha.)

I’d say give it another day at least- just in case she didn’t work today because of the holiday.

Ditto previous poster- many small businesses were closed today. I’d wait until the end of the day tomorrow, and if you don’t hear by then, send another email.

Good point about the holiday. Why don’t you pick up the phone and give her a call? I’m sure email isn’t the only was you can reach her right?

I think you should try calling. I’ve been having problems with my vendors. Usually I have to e-mail them, then call them saying that I e-mailed them i.e. 2 day ago. And then they usually get back to me in a cuople days…

Try calling if it doesn’t seem better, well, it’s business… if she doesn’t want to work on your timeframe, then PEACEOUT!!!!!!! May seem harsh, but you are paying for a service and she needs to follow through, if she isn’t providing the service to your liking, then she doesn’t deserve your business!

SO I called – no answer. And I went back to the e-mail to re-read it to make sure I didn’t miss anything and I realized that it was my e-mail telling her I want to book that she ignored totally and gave me an answer to comething totally off base…..lol. So she read the part about me booking…..
WTF?! I’m getting ticked.

Dude this is business… You’re not a bridezilla if you go with someone else. As you said in your blog- vendorzilla! LOL.
I would consider calling another agent and let them know what you were working on and let them know your timeline. Leave the original agent a message with your "if I do not have this information within x days then I will have to use x (specific name of a competitor) for this".
And/or reply to her email with the information from the previous emails… ask if she read it… Call her on her S***… If she wants your business, then she’ll call or email back immediately.

At the time of your most recent post, it was 9:42am in MN. That means she has been back in the office for 42 minutes since she returned from the 3-day weekend. Maybe she is stuck in traffic, maybe she is going to the bathroom, maybe she is still reading through all the emails that came in during the past 3 days – your posts are long, I’m sure your emails are long too – maybe she is still reading those. Regardless, you have given her 42 minutes and you are ready to fire her?! Follow the advice that you said we aren’t allowed to give you.

i feel your pain in wanting to cross this off your list, but i’d probably wait to hear back from her. i agree that she was probably on vacation yesterday & it’s going to be so much easier for her to deal with booking what you’ve decided on rather than try to do it yourself. Most likely she isnt trying to lose your business; sometimes relaxing & letting the pro’s handle it is easier for both of you. on the other hand if she doesnt get back today, feel free to email or leave a message reminding her/ asking if she’s had a chance to book it. good luck!
