It sounds lovely, do you have pics?  Have you asked him why he really wants the enhancer?  It could be simply he feels he’ll be looked at like he didn’t get you your dream ring if you keep a simple ring but if you let him know again why this one means so much maybe he’ll soften and come around.

I think it completely overpowers your ring. Although it’s quite pretty.. It might suit better as a RHR.

    Maybe add a poll? 🙂

I love the sentiment behind it, but don’t like it at all with your solitaire.  I would wear it as a RHR.

I think it’s too much as a wedding ring, to be honest, but it makes a beautiful right hand ring! Another point you may not have thought of is that pearls are delicate and won’t stand up to being worn every day for a lifetime. So I think you should get the enhancer.

What I like is that it is unique and the solitare peeks out – but I do wonder if it is resized how they would fit together?  Do you have a pic of the enhancer?  Or maybe scrap the enhancer and compromise on a thin band?

@Payless:  I actually love how they look together!  PPs are right- the pearl does kind of overpower the solitaire, but not necessarily in a bad way.  Are you OK with having your solitaire become an accent on the ring, and having the pearl be the focal point?  I think the rings look really lovely together, and it makes for a very unique and beautiful set.  And what’s most important is that you love the way it looks, and it means something to both you and your FI!

I really love this combo, but I am by no means traditional in any sense of the word when it comes to rings.

@Payless:  I’d totally do it. Not traditional and people may be like … what?? But if you like them this way rock them this way! Just for fun, I have a pic like yours too. 🙂 I put my RHR on my left finger with my e-ring one day for fun … I love both rings so much as well but they kind of looked … odd together to say the least 😉

PS LOVE that you have a heart diamond!!

@Payless:  This is what I’ve read on the bee before, that pearls are much softer than other stones. But ask a jeweller’s opinion and see what they say 🙂
