I’ve found a necklace I really like on etsy but I’m not sure if it’s too over the top. I have a very simple dress with no bling. It’s ivory, strapless, sweetheart neckline and fit and flare style. I will be wearing my hair up with earrings that are similar in style with no pearls. Thoughts??

it will look great with a simple dress

It’s hard to say without seeing the dress, but, as a general rule, when the gown is very simple, you can get away with more elaborate accessories, so this necklace will probably work just fine. And, vice-versa, a more ornate gown often looks best with simpler accessories.
A little bit of it depends on your venue, too. This necklace might look over the top at a backyard or beach wedding, whereas it might look just right in a fancy restaurant or hotel ballroom, etc.
If you can give a little more context about the venue and post a picture of the gown, that might be helpful.

I love it. It is really beautiful.

I love the necklace! Would love to see a picture of your dress. If it’s super plain, that necklace would be perfect with it.

I think it is very pretty but to truely judge I would have to see the dress.

I unfortunately don’t have a photo of my dress. I had a bad case of dress regret with my first one so I’ve vowed to not have any photos of it to obsess over and look at. When I go in for my fittings I’m just reassured that I know that I love it instead of spending time obsessing over an iphone photo (which is what happened the first time with a different dress).
I know, not very helpful. It was made in house too so there aren’t any model photos. But, no bling or adornment, slight ruching in the front in a diagonal pattern with a small train.
The venue is more on the casual side. It’ll be at a vineyard/farm in a tent.

If it’s a really plain dress, you can pull it off. If you’ve got a lacy or sequined dress, I think it could look too busy.

Love the necklace. Let’s see a pic of the dress!

It is super plain… elegant, but plain… sometimes I worry that it’s too plain but I don’t think it would look right with a belt. the only additional detail is the slight rouching on the bodice and there are buttons down the back.

Yup, echoing that you can get away with a super blingin necklace if your other accessories and your dress are relatively simple. Go for it, it looks beautiful!!
