I hesitate to comment because your pics are taken in a home and you likely already own the necklace.
But since you asked, I think that necklace is inappropriate to wear with that dress.
It does nothing for you or the dress, in fact it distracts from both.
Were you planning on wearing it like that? I think it could be pretty looped a couple of times so it looks like a multi-strand, and hits midway between your clavicle and the dress neckline.
I think it is too long… and Doesnt go very well with your dress IMHO
I wouldn’t say it is “too much”, but I definitely wouldn’t pick it to go with your dress…it takes away from the beautiful neckline.
Would you wear it like that? Could you wrap it a few times? I think its too much hanging that low…
Yes, that necklace is definitely too much. It doesn’t really match the dress at all, otherwise I’d suggest double wrapping it around your neck. If it was pearls, then maybe.
Leave that gorgeous neckline alone and go with big ol’ earrings and an awesome bracelet!
I like the necklace, but not with the dress. I think that the way it lands/that length isn’t really complimenting the dress. It may be different if it was doubled up or a different length, but I think that something that sits closer to your collar bone would be more flattering.
It’s my moms necklace, I was just playing with a bunch of her jewelry for fun… thanks for the help ladies.
Double or triple it up and take a pic. I think I would like it.
I know you’re all going to think I’m insane for posting this, but hey, if it’s your style, go for it. It DOES remind me of heidi montag (from the hills), if you layered it with a ton of necklaces. Honestly, it’s …. a lot. But I kiiiiiinda think she rocked it. Please don’t flame me for that hahhaa
@morkiemama: Heidi’s were much more delicate though.
The necklace just sort of hangs there. It doesn’t flow with the dress at all, or even go with it. It looks like you really like it and want and excuse to wear it more than anything. I’d say loop it or go with something more delicate and shorter. I’m seeing pearls.
