This is my timeline for the day and part of it may not be 'normal'. Please let me know what you think:

    1.00p.m. : Check-in and make-up artist arrives

3.00p.m.- 3.30/45p.m.: Groom's Arrival (he has to go through an entire obstacle course)- I will be wearing traditional clothes

    3.30/45p.m.- 4.30p.m. : Tea Ceremony

4.30p.m.-5p.m. (for me, for guests til ceremony begins): Tea and coffee+ some something simple (maybe mini quiches or something)

5.00p.m.- 5.30p.m.: Change to white dress. Make up artist makes some minor changes to hair/make up

    5.30p.m.- 6.00p.m. : Photos with parents and bridesmaids/bestman

6p.m.-6.30p.m.: Ceremony (FI sees me in a white dress for the first time)

6.30p.m.  6.45p.m.: Quick pictures with guests and family (total about 45 people)

6.45p.m. - 7p.m.: Champagne toast and cake cutting (the reason why I want to cut the cake now is so that guests have something to do before dinner)

7p.m.- 7.30p.m.: Take photos with new husband (light may not be good?)

7.30p.m.- 8p.m.: Change to reception dress, minor changes to make up/hair

8p.m. onwards: Dinner & Dance (same location but at the restaurant)

Typing this out now just made me realize a number of things. ARGH! I already see some major issues, namely:

    i) There is SO little time for pictures. This will be the only wedding photos I have. Also, maybe it will be too dark (sunset, dusk) for nice photos with my FI.

ii) If guests eat cake before dinner, can they still stomach a 4-course menu?

iii) It's such a freaking tight timeline AHHHHH especially with daylight and all that stuff

Personally, I would find it a bit wierd to cut and eat cake before dinner. If you feel rushed with pictures then you definitely need to make that a priority and schedule more time. Pics are so so important and you will definitely regret it if you are rushed to get them done! I love the idea of having tea with your guests! I have never thought of doing that but it's so cute :)
