I think this would be fine. For me, invitations aren't on the top of my priority list where I would splurge and spend large amounts of money on them. People look at them a few times and then throw them away. I too am doing only an invitation (flat card) and a response card. I think your's look fine. I love the design and colors.
I think the design looks great! I'd never know it wasn't professional :)
If I could make one suggestion though, I'd maybe say "Directions and hotel accommodations available on our website" or something... "an also be found on" seems a little clumsy to me. but-- thats just me!
What do you think about the fact that I'm directing everyone to the website instead of including hotel and maps with the invites?
I like it & sometimes people don't even use the maps that people include with their invites! Some people just prefer to google map it or GPS it no matter what...I think it looks fine!
re: directing them to the website... i think it is fine as long as most of your guests are tech-savvy. if its only grandma and 2 or 3 aunts and uncles that won't be able to use the website you can figure they'll get someone to help them out with details. However if 40% of your guest list is over 60 you might want to reconsider :)
My FI and I both have grandparents on facebook, so most of our families are pretty tech-savvy! :)
tHe invite looks great! I'm not spending too much on invites either since people usually throw them away after the wedding. Like previous poster have said just make sure your guests are tech savy b/c it's already hard enough to get people to send in a stamped response card!
how are planning to print them? you can print white on purple paper, and to print the entire page purple wont only take a TON of ink, it most likely wont print completly even.

I'm doing my best to save money on my wedding without being cheap. I am having a flat invitation and one enclosure card. Is this ok? What do you think? Be honest please, I won't be offended!! :)
