KateriPetrie:  I think if you dress it up, pretty bracelet and cute heels it’s totally appropriate. Also I think your hair curly makes it feel more formal. Very pretty and super flattering!

KateriPetrie:  I think it’s a lovely dress. Personally I’d want to go more formal with it, but since you don’t want a long one I think it’s formal enough for a short dress. Looks great on you!

KateriPetrie:  It’s very nice! Just don’t stand with your feet like that in a short dress.

I don’t know anything about the Marine Corps Ball, but if it’s like the Army one I’d go more formal.

It is a really nice dress though.

Being my dad was a Marine I feel something more formal is appropriate.

Most of the balls I’ve seen the ladies tended toward more formal floor length gowns.  It  looks really nice on you though and $20 is a great deal, I’d definetely wear it to the future inlaws wedding.

I would lean towards a long dress but I think it’s ok.  Husband agrees (Army vet). Not too short and the girls are covered.

I’d go more formal to be honest. You look super cute but that dress is more “cocktail party” than “Marine Corp ball!”

I think you should go more formal and wear it to the wedding. Just my two cents!

You definitely look amazing! I, personally, would probably go with something dressier and long. But I don’t think anyone will be offended or shocked by your outfit because it’s classic, modest and you look great!

All of the things I’ve seen worn at various Army balls…this is fine. I promise. I personally would trend toward a longer, more formal dress. But, the girls are covered, the dress is an appropriate length, it isnt too tight, and the color is gorgeous. Its really up to you.
