julesbeeb:  OMG wedding date twins and I was at the same weight as you 3 weeks ago, so far i have lost 6 lbs with the help of a personal trainer and a BFF gym partner.  I go 4 days per week and see trainer once per week.  My goal weight is 150lbs right now I am at size 8-10 so at 150 I will be a happy size 6.

It is possible to drop to your goal weight by your wedding date but you really just have to stick to a plan, you can drop 2lbs per week.

That’s only 5 pounds a month. With diet and exercise it’s totally possible. Just have to be dedicated!

@julesbeeb: It is very possible to lose the weight and get to your goal by that time, but you must start now. I was at my heaviest ever, weighing 175 (due to hypothyroidism) before I started my lifestyle change in December. It has been hard, but I now weigh 150lbs. My goal weight is to be 140 by August 23. try to make it a lifestyle change and just not diet for the wedding because there is life after the wedding. You do not want to gain the weight back because you will only ending up weighing more than where you originally started.

julesbeeb:  depending upon your height and assuming you don’t have any medical conditions that would make it difficult to lose weight, it should be relatively easy to get to your goal in the  4+ months you have.

Absolutely! You just need to figure out what motivates you to stick to a lifestyle change. For me, I’m losing a little bit less than about a pound a week counting calories/logging exercise with myfitnesspal. I’m 11 pounds from my goal weight, and have 11 weeks until the big day 🙂

Five pounds a month is very, very doable!

Totally possible, especially if you haven’t particularly been dieting already. Get a food scale, sign up for myfitnesspal.com.

It is really possible. It is very easy to lose weight and keep slim at our ages. You can do something and get to 145-150 surely. To keep slim before marriage and pregnant, or it is more difficult to keep slim after having children.

You can do it! I will chime in with agreement with the past posters who have suggested My Fitness Pal. I lost 30ish lbs using MFP…
