Hey Bees! I am a first time poster but I have been browsing these boards all throughout my ring selection process. I got my pear which I am super happy about – and today I got my wedding band. I was kind of iffy on getting on in the first place because honestly I think you can wear them however you want and I loved the simple elegance. However! I decided to go with tradition and get a band. I love it – but I’m not sure if I like it better. What do you gals think?

I dont think it matches. 🙁 sorry if its not what you wanted to hear. If you like it though GET IT! but i dont think the shape of the band is going along with the e-ring. 🙁
try another one! 🙂

I, personally, like the solitaire on its own. You see the shape of the pear better. But I might be biased, I didn’t get a separate wedding band. I prefer most e-rings solo better than with a band.

I love the e-ring alone, but if you want a band, maybe try a different shape. If you love it, then keep that band. It’s your ring afterall.

@jewelsinme: I like it! I like that the band has those pear/marquis/oval (w/e they are) shaped stones to the side. I think they compliment the pear solitaire 🙂

Wow you ladies are on the BALL! So glad I asked this group. Well I agree with almost everybody ha. I love the round and marqui style with the pear, I think it compliments it well. But – I bought the band today when it was cut in half and they guy was going to add a shank and solder the two for me. So it’s already glued together. But – he didn’t get the band width as thick as I would like it or something bc it seems a bit off. But when I close my fingers together you can’t tell at all. Plus I got a GREAT deal on all of this so I don’t want to be super picky. I paid only a thousand for the ering and I paid nothing for the wedding ring bc I traded an old ring in. I think the shape of the pear is less impacful with it though, it becomes more about the two bands together. Boo.
I just wanted to know what others though. I would love to continue to hear opinions. I think the style is great, just not sure if it’s “too much” – I’m sort of stuck with it for the moment although I can always take them apart if I don’t eventually fall hardcore in love with it. It takes me a bit of time to process change anyways lol. I wasn’t even crazy about the half eternity band with the pear at first. So 😛

I think they look beautiful together!

@jewelsinme: I like it! I don’t think bands and e-rings need to be super matchy.

I actually love it with the band. I think it’s so unique, and I even think that the different style wedding band paired with that brings out the shape of the diamond!

@jewelsinme: its stunning with the band!! So beautiful!!

@jewelsinme: I really like the mismatched bands it’s unique and boh are gorgeous both together and on their own 🙂

I think a very thin plain band might work better. These bands together look like they are fighting for who gets more attention. I would let the ering be the star of the show.
