It leaves mark like this picture 1. It won’t make my finger purple or anything. When I woke up though, my fingers are swollen. So I’ll have a muffin top over my wedding band! What do you think? Any thoughts? Should I resize it againg to go .25 size up?

Is there any reason (heat/cold, stress) that would be making your fingers swell right now?

It does seem to be a little snug on you, sizing up will probably be more comfotable.

I think sizing it up a tad might help. Do you sleep with your ring on? I tend to take mine off before bed. That could help with the swelling too.

i think because it is summer? it’s quite warm in so cal.
it’s funny though cuz my other rings are all the same size, but only this one is so tight…

It does look a little tight. Does it feel loose when you’re not swollen?
If it’s uncomfortable and doesn’t feel loose when it’s not swollen, get it resized. I had to get my resized because it was too tight. It feels SO much better when it fits right!

Depends on what kind of weather it is, it looks a little bit tight right now, but if it’s summer or super hot, than it might be ok.

it is not uncomfotable. It does not borther me during the day. It’s just kind of hard to put on in some mornings. If I go 0.25 size up, I’m sure I won’t have that muffin top in the morning or the red marks in afternoon. BUT the ring will rotate and it’ll be loose in winter. I’m really torn between going size up or not.

I’d get it sized up 1/4 and then come winter slip a ring guard to hold it steady. That way you’re not getting the muffin top or the red marks in the afternoon.

It looks a bit snug. Personally, I prefer my ring to be able to twist around a bit. There is no way it can fall off as my knuckle blocks that– and I like how it doesn’t constrict my finger at all. I based my ring size off comfort in the most humid weather.

Normally I’m more bloated/swollen in the morning and that is typical of most people (and some of us hold more water than others for various reasons!), so I wouldn’t worry about it too much unless it bothers you. My ring is about normal when I wake up and throughout the day it gets looser.

It looks tight but my ring does the same thing. Now in the summertime my whole body is swollen. in January I was scared to wear my rings cause they were falling off my finger. I went to the doctor and he said “You’re a female and it’s hot” and when the temperature goes back down, I should stop all the swelling. How long has this been going on?

@jess226: It could feel different than your other rings the same size because of the way it’s made – some rings have hollow areas on the inside of the ring that makes them a little bit looser sometimes. Could also be that wherever you bought it from does sizing slightly differently.
It does look a bit snug. But I’m not sure what to suggest. I have the same problem – I swell in the summertime, but my rings nearly fall off in the winter.

My finger is typically a bit more swollen if I wear my ring to bed. Would you feel comfortable taking it off while you sleep? It may also just be the hot weather like you mentioned. My ring is definitely tighter in hot weather. If it’s not too uncomfortable I would wait until it cools off a bit and see how the ring fits then.
