So these are my inspiration pics, paper plates put on plastic chargers. I’m getting married Oct. 18 and we are having a rustic theme wedding with fall colors. We will be serving cake & heavy appetizers at our 2pm reception. We will be getting married in a cowboy church, boots & jeans are welcome. I’m not wanting a really fussy look, but I still want it to be nice and have a wedding feel. We will have burlap tableclothes and I thought this would be a good way to pull in some color and make it feel a lil nicer. What do you think Bees?

I would maybe just stay away from holiday themed plates. You should be able to find some cute plates with only leaves or pumpkins on them without them saying something about Halloween or thanksgiving

I would do square plastic plates of some kind. Some of these look nice: http://www.partyatlewis.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=partyatlewis&Category_Code=squares
Squares seem more classy, since most people will tend to associate round disposable plates with picnics/BBQs.

mrsmeyers84: I planned on using something with a generic fall theme if I went that route.

julies1949: I actually already have alot of red & gold chargers that I racked up on after Christmas so it wouldn’t be a big additional cost

Can’t say I love the look myself, but hey, it’s your wedding.

oilfieldhoney: What about those plain white shiny plastic plates? Or, if you are having a buffet, why don’t you simply have the plates stacked at the beginning of the buffet line and just have the chargers waiting for the guests when they come to sit down. I think you should definitely stay away from themed plates.
