Is $7.50 each too expensive for chair covers (solid white, probably poly/cotton blend) and sashes? Are banquet type chairs pretty standard? I'm asking because I'm wondering if I can order these from somewhere else for cheaper.

If you are renting them - yes that is too much!

If you are buying them I would say the price is okay only because you will be able to sell them later and make some of your money back :)

Does it include set-up and take down?  We paid $2 a chair for the covers only through our reception site.  They put them on and took them off.  If its just for the covers and sashes (with no instillation) , then I think its too expensive.  There are a lot of online companies you should be able to get them cheaper at.  But then you would need to figure our how to get them on and off the chairs.

It does include set up and take down. The other problem is we are getting married in Puerto Rico. This was the price from the price list for the preferred vendor.  We will only have about 60-70 chairs and I could ship them to the resort a head of time, but then they will probably be wrinkled. I hate that we are sort of at the mercy of the vendor.  I am going to see if I can find another vendor in the area . . .

My venu quoted me that price which I thought was WAY too high. So we opted not to have them. I'd think if I had scouted around I could have found a better deal, but we didn't want the hassle of it..and in the end, I'm glad we're not spending money on chairs/covers, even if it would have been nice to have pretty one!

You can get the chair covers for a lot cheaper if you look around.  We decided not to use them and quite honestly no one really paid attention or cared.  I think they were honestly more interested in the food and entertainment.
