Charmaine7:  What does he think? I don’t think my FI would go for it, but that’s just him! I say go for it if you both like it! (:

I don’t get how a gold is too feminine- it looks more orange than rose anyways so no.

Charmaine7:  I’m not sure about this. It could go either way, really. I don’t think it’s TOO feminine, but I am a female, so… It would be helpful to get a male’s perspective on this.

That’s basically what my guy picked. I told him if he wanted white gold, I would be fine with that and would get that to match. He decided to go with rose gold to match my engagement ring. His might be 1mm thicker than the one you posted, but that’s just splitting hairs at this point.

What is the karat? If it’s 18k it’ll hardly look pink at all. Even if it’s 14k, as long as it’s a nice wide band it’ll look like just plain classy gold and I doubt anyone will even look closely enough to notice it’s pink, IMO. It’s much more about the style than the colour of gold that makes a ring masculine or feminine.

Charmaine7:  lol fair enough! I say show it to him with a couple of other options and watch his reaction (and listen to see what he says, of course, haha)! Maybe a flatter style and/or a “brushed” look would feel more masculine? Something like this…

Charmaine7:  it depends on the karat weight of the gold. 14k rose gold looks quite pink and that may come off as feminine. DH and I both have rose gold W-rings but they are 18k so they are not as pink.

We have matching bands that are half rose and half white. The rose half doesn’t look feminine on my husband.

Charmaine7:  Me too! I think my FI actually might go for that one, but my then my set wouldn’t match, haha! Best of luck!
