All along, I planned to do A7 panel cards and postcard RSVPs. I have designed all of it, and just need to get them printed. As I have started to look into it, this is what I have come up with:
75 A7 panel cards thermography printed on 100lb white linen
75 postcards 2 color thermography on front and black offset printing on back also on 100lb white linen
We plan to use black envelopes, which cost $5.25 for 25 envelopes at a local stationery store = $15.75
Stamps, assuming that this will weigh less than 1 oz + postcard postage = $54
Wrap around labels & inserts, let’s just say $10
75 invites = $275 or $3.67 per invite
Is that too much considering what I am trying to accomplish? I thought my idea would be cost effective. However, after I read some other threads about the cost per invite, I’m amazed at how many other bees’ DIY invites are coming in under $2 each.
I really think thermography will make the invitations look more expensive, and it is not much more than offset printing. So what is driving up the cost of my invitations?
