We are trying to find a ceremony location, we are new to the area and don’t belong to a church or social group. We fell in love with this old library that is rentable for a one hour ceremony, but it is $1000.00 for an hour rental. There are no other fees, and this includes chairs, set up/take down. Is this how much you would expect to pay?

I think that price just depends on your budget……
WE are renting a events center in OKC for 2,000 which includes 1 hr ceremony, 4 hr reception, chairs, tables, set-up and down, rooms for bride nd groom to dress kitchen space for caterer….SO i htink its just dependant on the area….Id say maybe look into some other locations, such as museums college campuses..otherwise look into finding a non-denominationla church which would probably help u out for the cost of the officiant and church donation

Fees for ceremony locations can vary greatly. I paid $600 for our church (including pianist). Some places I looked at were more, others less. One church we looked at was over $2,000.
My initial reaction is that $1,000 is not too much for that type of venue, especially if it includes chairs and set up/take down. Have you seen the chairs? Do you like them? If not, would you have additional costs renting other chairs?
I would love to see pictures of the venue! I love libraries!
