First off I have to say that I have an absolutely fabulous and talented mother who spent many hours getting the sample dress I purchased to fit me.

She also made me a lovely veil that I think may be a little too long for the style of dress and for my height.

What do you think?  My face is blacked out to preseve my job - I should be working right now!

I don't think it is. I think it looks just great! But yeah, it is all about what you personally want... what do you think?

After your post, I was expecting to see a cathedral length veil! However, I do think a veil that was slightly shorter might be better (and make you feel less self-conscious). But, I'd personally have no worries about wearing it as-is if I were you!

Can you post a pic of the back?  I don't think it looks too long from the front.  (AWESOME dress btw!)

Gorgeous!  I keep thinking a fingertip length would maybe look better...

I agree that it's a bit too long.

    Beautiful dress!  It's Cymbeline, right?

I think the length is perfect. I love long veils though.

What a beautiful dress! And the veil is great too! I think it's fine the way it is, but a picture from the back would definitely help to confirm.

I think I'd go for it reaching to your waist or hips. It's a great dress and you don't need to cover it up!

Personally, I think it's perfect....if it's shorter, the lines will compete with the focal points of the dress, which are at the top.  It looks like a beautiful halo around you!

I think you are right that it is too long. A fingertip length would be better. I also think the trim is off. The trim is too casual/fun for your vintage-y dress. A raw edge would be better.

I actually like it, but you should wear it however you are comfortable.
