I am wearing the Maggie Sottero Monalisa Royale, which is a high-drama dress. I tried on and liked a relatively simple fingertip-length veil with a beaded edge.
I know I’ve seen other women on here suggest a cathedral length veil for my dress, but I tried on the super-long veil and honestly it felt like too much veil for what is already a lot of dress.
For what it’s worth, my wedding is outdoors in November in the evening.

I think fingertip length is my very favorite, and the one you’ve shown will be perfect with your dress!

I t hink the veil is perfect for the dress. I personally prefer shorted veils because I always want to see the back of the dress!

I think they go together perfectly!

@ItWasntMe: Thanks! I liked fingertip length, too–seems like it will flow nicely but not be too hard to manage.

@Beckster329: Exactly! The dress has an amazing train, so I definitely want to show it off 🙂

I love how awkward that veil model looks. lol. That being said, I think you are fine. That length would be nice because it isn’t cumbersome and it wont compete with the dress.

I actually like the idea of the shorter veil with the dress…..I think more of the focus should be on the amazing dress!

@weddingbound: Agree with this! Your dress is beautifuland dramatic, why do you need to overpower that with a long veil. The fingertip looks like it would go perfectly with your dress.

My dress was a similar silhouette and I had a fingertip-length veil, and I thought it was the perfect combo!

@RobotBabooshka: Haha yeah the veil model seems unsure what is going on…
Thanks everyone for you comments! Definitely am going with the fingertip length. 🙂

With a dress that gorgeous, you don’t want to cover the back up with a long veil! Stick with the fingertip length.

I think it’s whatever you’re comfortable with! : ) In My Humble Opinion, the fingertip veil you have pictured will look STUNNING with that dress.

Don’t cover that gorgeous dress up with a cathedral veil! The one you chose will look awesome.

I actually prefer cathedral length veils with form fitting dresses and shorter veils with larger dresses. You don’t want your veil competing with, or getting lost in, your dress. So I like the shorter veil!
