I was torn between pink and watermelon and decided to go with the darker color. I am worried the lighter pink wont come up in pictures and my dress is a light ivory.
Do you think watermelon is obnoxious? Im getting married in July at night

I love pink, but Fiance nixed that color option. For a summer wedding, watermelon seems really cheery and in the spirit of the season. With bridesmaids, it depends on their coloring, I think. I think bright pink generally looks great on everyone, but maybe for those that have red hair, it might be a little better to go with a paler pink…Light pink (depending on how light) can wash pale girls out, though… most redheads are pale…hmm wow, now I’M confused hehe. Dark pink is probably the best bet.

I am getting married in July too, and we are using this bright pink color as an accent to the light pink and bright apple-limey green… just a few punches of it here and there to really brighten up the color scheme and bring it from spring to summer…. But I LOVE this color, esp. with the black and white damask that seems so popular these days!

I love the watermelon color but from your pictures, it looks like a lot of pink going on there. I think you can do the dresses and the shoes but try to lighten it by having a bouquet with a mixture of other colors. Some white flowers or maybe a light pink flower. Maybe on the dress, maybe have a pink or white sash?
Just my opinion but if it all that one color, it might be to much in your face.
There’s always ways to tone it down.
EDIT: Like for your picture with the party favors, I would have the pink and the watermelon party favors but also have a white party favor box. Oh, here’s an idea, add some silver or gold accents instead of white.

This wedding on StyleMePretty is similar to your inspiration board and I think it definitely shows that pinky color to be beautiful
