@PurpleUnicorn: I think you should get what you will enjoy the most. Most brides have a similar-but-not-matching bouquet, right? If i's in the same colour scheme, and you like it, go ahead. If anything about it is weird, it will be the different flower types between yours and theirs - have you already ordered their bouquets? Maybe you can change from roses or add a couple of additional flowers (like carnations)into them. I think it would be nice to have local flowers at a destination wedding.
If I were you, I'd go with the local flowers & the bouquet provided by the resort. As long as you have red in your bouquet, your BMs bouquets will still tie in. :)
@deliciousappleblue: i can't decide what i want! its honestly not that expensive where i am ordering the silk flowers from - my bouquet would be an extra $20. but i am at the point where i have to save every penny possible.
also, i can't decide if it would look NICE and cool to have totally different flowers (but in the color scheme like you said), or if it would look totally WEIRD and off.
@RecessionistaBride: all right, you are starting to convince me! i know its definitely more practical to save money and pack less. i just wanted others opinions about if it would look weird. but so far it seems ok!
@PurpleUnicorn: Oh I think it would look awesome! And after all, you're the bride!! Your bouquet should be a little more special!

i am getting married in Jamaica and i get a free bridal bouquet included in my wedding package that i can have in my wedding colors of red and purple. the bouquet will be a combination of local flowers such as carnations, daisies, chrysanthemums, & orchids.
for my BMs, i was going to order silk red rose bouquets. i have always wanted to have red roses for my flowers, so i figure it will look cool if the BMs have them,
so now i am wondering if i should get myself a silk bouquet as well? because i am afraid it will look weird for me to have those local flowers, while the BMs have something totally different,
what do you think?
